Upon contacting Rob, he has provided details of the build and has signed Cushmic Sounds' Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) - (See Photo).
Weighing in at 3.6kg (8lbs) with a Blackwood body, a stunning AAA Flame Maple neck, Rosewood fretboard with 9.5" Radius, 24 Medium Jumbo frets, and beautiful Abalone Oversized-Dot inlays.
Pickups feature a pair of Screamin' EMG 81/85 pickups with active electronics, 1 Volume and 2 Tone controls with 3-way blade switch.
This guitar was originally built with a HSS Pickup configuration. John modded the guitar some years ago with the EMG pickups, wiring and switch, and also a replacement pickguard with 1 replacement Tone Knob added.
Originally built with a standard Strat-style Tremolo Bridge, John modified this baby with an aftermarket Schaller Tremolo (See cavity underneath bridge).
On this gorgeous AAA Flame Maple headstock we have Locking Nuts and 2 Alen Keys with holder on the rear of the headstock, and keeping you in tune are a set of Grover Mini Tuners.
Comes with its Original Hardshell Case, Trem Arm, Cushmic Sounds Certificate Of Authenticity (COA), a photo of the collection taken here at Cushmic Sounds, 3 photos of John playing the guitar live at The Charles Hotel in North Perth, Western Autsralia and 2 extra photos of John in his studio.
Serviced and setup here at Cushmic Sounds with D'Addario 9-46 strings, frets cleaned and polished, fretboard cleaned and lightly oiled, intonation and action set, truss rod tested and works as it should, electronics cleaned, tested and working perfectly, all hardware cleaned and secured.
Overall condition is Very Good! - Minimal pay wear throughout.
Frets are in great shape, showing minimal signs of wear but nothing that warrants a fret level any time soon so playability is superb!
