Cushmic Sounds is pleased to offer this incredible Gibson Custom Shop Billy Gibbons "Pearly Gates" VOS 1959 Les Paul Standard #071/250.
Released in 2009 and limited to just 350 guitars worldwide, 250 receiving Gibson Custom's VOS finish, 50 were aged to look exactly like the original Pearly Gates, and a further 50 were aged and personally signed and played by Billy Gibbons himself.
Weighing in at just 4.1kg (9.03lbs), this beautiful instrument is the perfect weight for a Les Paul - exceptionally well balanced.
The hand selected 2-peice figured maple top is something else - it's absolute fire!

There's one extremely minor scratch on the top, right between the bridge and bridge volume control - so minor that it was difficult to photograph.

The non-weight relieved mahogany back is stunning, one teeny tiny indent right near the switch cavity but I couldn't get a photo - its so minor that you'll have to take my word for it or view in person.
There are also some minor cracks in the finish on the binding at the base of the guitar. (See photo)
The mahogany neck has the perfect profile, a medium 1959 rounded profile to be exact - not too chunky, not too thin, and the VOS finish makes it an absolute joy to play, topped off with a dark rosewood fretboard and acrylic trapazoid inlays.
Frets are in perfect condition!
The pickups feature a matched set of Seymour Duncan Custom Shop Billy Gibbons PAF replicas, based on the original guitars PAF pickups.

All aged nickel hardware that includes aged pickup covers, lightweight aluminium string-over stopbar tailpiece, abr-1 tune-o-matic non-wire bridge, Gibson Deluxe vintage style tulip tuners and all aged screws and studs.
Electronics feature period-correct CTS potentiometers and bumble bee capacitors that along with the pickups, give you that unmistakable legendary tone - "Have mercy!"
A replacement 3-way Switchcraft switch has been installed as the original had failed.

Open it up and you've got this very cool Pearly Gates guitar cover, also with Billy's signature print, Gibson Custom Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) #071, owners manual, checklist, and all hangtags. Everything that came with the guitar from Gibson Custom is included.
This guitar is as close as you'll get to owning the real thing. Its an absolute masterpiece.
