Cushmic Sounds is pleased to offer this incredible 2005 Gibson "Custom Authentic" Jimmy Page #1, 1959 Les Paul Standard from the Gibson Custom Shop.
 
Produced from 2004 - 2006 and limited to 25 personally signed by Jimmy Page, 150 aged by Tom Murphy and 870 "unlimited" VOS models from the Custom Shop. This one being Serial No. JPP 387 is confirmed by Gibson USA to be a 2005 model (See last photo).
 
This one comes to Cushmic Sounds via a Private collection here in Perth. It's a second owner guitar, purchased in 2012, has been lovingly cared for and stored in its case when not in use, so it still has that intoxicating Nitro scent from the Gibson Custom Shop.
 
Weighing in at just 3.8kg (8.5lbs), this is a beautifully weighted Les Paul, light and and resonant - it's just a joy to play.
 
Featuring the famous "shaved" neck profile based off Page's original '59 #1 Les Paul that he purchased from Joe Walsh of The Eagles fame. It's not a fat 50s or slim 60s profile, this is unique to this guitar only. But let me tell you, it's very comfortable.
 
The stunning two-peice Maple top features Gibson Custom Shop's "Page Burst" finish with beautiful flame and grain that looks different at every angle, there's a lot of action on this one.
 
Now! Just look at this Mahogany back - there is absolutely NO buckle rash, no marks, scratches or dents. There are just a couple of very minor marks underneath the pickguard bracket, some minor dents on the bass side of the guitar and one extremely, almost unnoticeable dent on the top, just down from the tailpeice. Both volume control knobs and one tone control knob are showing cracks but are still fully functional (See photos).
 
Featuring a pair of Jimmy Page Custom Burstbuckers along with 2 volume controls, 2 tone controls and a 3-way switch, this beauty is also equipped with a push/pull pot that splits the coils on the lead pickup and is located on the bridge tone control.
 
And if that wasn't enough, switch to the middle position and you've got an out-of-phase tone that is to die for.
 
There are a number of different and satisfying combinations that make this particular Les Paul an extremely versatile guitar and believe me, you'll spend hours getting to know this heartbreaker.
 
Frets are in perfect condition with absolutely NO ware so playability is superb.
 
This exceptional guitar is in 'Collector Grade' condition!
 
Included is its Original Gibson Custom Hardshell Case, Gibson Custom, Art & Historic Certificate Of Authenticity (COA), Gibson Guitar Strap, owners manual, hangtags, literature, polish cloth, truss rod wrench and case key.
 
Serviced and setup here at Cushmic Sounds with D'Addario 10-46 strings, frets cleaned and polished, fretboard cleaned and lightly oiled, intonation and action set, truss rod tested and works as it should, electronics cleaned, tested and working perfectly, all hardware cleaned and secured.
