Cushmic Sounds is pleased to offer this Exceptional Limited Edition Gibson Buddy Holly J-45 from 1995 #05/250.
 
As many would associate Buddy Holly with a Fender Stratocaster, most people would be unaware of his love for his Gibson J-45.
 
This 1995 release was based on his Original 1942 Banner Logo Headstock model which he used to write most of his songs, and was his sole acoustic guitar until his untimely death in 1959.
 
Weighing in at a mere 1.8kg (4.1lbs) with a beautiful 2-piece Sitka Spruce top with Mahogany back and sides, 3-piece Mahogany neck that features a Mahogany strip that runs the length of the neck. This is in line with Gibsons original construction at the time.
 
The neck features a comfortable Slim Soft-V shape, a beautiful Indian Rosewood fretboard with 20 frets, Mother of Pearl Dot inlays and bone Nut.
 
Rosewood Bridge with bone Saddle, plastic Bridge Pins, Tortoise shell Pickguard.
 
Gibson Mother of Pearl headstock logo with matching Banner that reads "Only a Gibson is good enough", Buddy Holly inscribed Truss Rod Cover.
 
Keeping you in tune are a set of Gotoh 'small-button' Kluson Tuners made in Japan.
 
Overall condition is 7/10 with minimal play wear, but there is some noticeable checking on the headstock, both front, back and on the neck. The Spruce top also shows checking inline with the bridge. (See photos)

Comes with its Original Gibson Hardshell Case with pink lining and pink shroud with Buddy Holly J-45 in gold lettering.
 
Serviced and setup here at Cushmic Sounds with Elixir Phosphor Bronze 12-53 strings, frets cleaned and polished, fretboard cleaned and lightly oiled, truss rod tested and works as it should, all hardware cleaned and secured.
 
Frets are in perfect condition so playability is superb!
